Hi guys! My name is Isoken Emokpae, but I go by Iso (e-so) for short. I’m a NASM Certified personal trainer from Queens, NY and graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.


I started my fitness journey in 2016. I barely knew anything about working out, but always had weight gain as a goal since I were young. I’m the type of girl that can eat heavy meals, but still struggle in gaining weight and I never understood why! Growing up, I’ve always been a naturally slim girl and remained active b y partaking in dance classes. Once I got to college, I started to really learn more about myself, care more about my looks and study more about weight training. Also, Teyana Taylor had dropped her “Fade” music video this year and believe it or not, this video pushed me into starting my fitness lifestyle. I wanted to feel strong and sexy at the same time. My obsession with finding this healthy balance led to fitness becoming my passion.

I worked out consistently for 4-5x per week and instantly started to see and feel changes. Once you start to see results, you’re not going to want to stop! It honestly felt great and empowering to know as a woman I can lift some heavy weights just as much as my male counterparts. I started out around 125lbs and put on over 30lbs of healthy weight since then. I achieved this by remaining consistent, patient, changing my diet, and changing my mindset as well. Apply these four rules to your daily routine and trust you’ll get to where you want to be. 
I got involved in personal training because I wanted to make an impact in other people’s lives and share my story. Whether your goal is weight loss, maintenance, or weight gain, none of these are easy to achieve. Everyone’s body operates and functions differently. The key is to remain positive and trust the process.
